According to various historical documents, September 8, 20BC, is the birthday of Mary, Mother of Jesus Christ. The Gospels give only a fragmented account of Mary’s life, mentioning her primarily in connection with the beginning and the end of Jesus’ life. During the time when Jesus announced his prophecy and confronted hypocritical clergymen, Mary was his most intransigent defender. She is venerated by Christians since apostolic times.
