One of the Christian’s traditions is Ash Wednesday. It is one of the ancient holy days in our church calendar that signifies the beginning of the Season of Lent. Our time to penitence, discipline and renewal of our souls; we do confess all our sins, and we are being forgiven through Christ, our Lord’s death and resurrection. During this time, we are invited by our churches to receive the ashes on our forehead that will remind us of our mortality. Let us all take a good look at ourselves to see how we truly stand before God.
